Health fund rebates are available with most major funds, and you can claim on the spot with our Healthpoint terminal. Bupa members receive an invoice to claim directly with Bupa. Rebates are not currently available through HCF. Your rebate depends on your level of extras cover.

Matt Wang

Matt begins each session by assessing where your tension or discomfort is coming from. He then uses a combination of deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial release and cupping techniques to suit you. His training includes treating athletes and working with older clients, so he’s comfortable adapting treatment for a wide range of people.

Can I claim remedial massage on my private health insurance?

Yes, with most major health funds. Matt is a member of the Massage Association of Australia, and you can claim on the spot using our Healthpoint terminal. If you’re with Bupa, we’ll give you an invoice to submit to Bupa yourself. Rebates aren’t currently available through HCF. Check with your fund to see how much you’ll get back.

What’s the difference between remedial and relaxation massage?

Remedial massage starts with an assessment and focuses on specific areas of muscle tension or discomfort. Relaxation massage is lighter and focuses on general wellbeing. Matt can adjust the pressure and focus to suit what you’d like.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing. You’ll only need to uncover the areas being treated, and you’ll be draped with towels throughout.

Which session length should I choose?

A 30-minute session suits one focus area, such as the neck and shoulders. 45 or 60 minutes allows treatment of several areas or a full back and legs.

Can massage be combined with physio or chiropractic care?

Yes. Many clients use massage alongside physiotherapy, chiropractic or Pilates at our clinic, and our practitioners can work together where that’s helpful.
